Crossroads is a ministry of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church created to serve children and families in the Bahama community with care, purpose, and faith. Through early childhood education, afterschool support, and family-centered enrichment, Crossroads seeks to nurture the whole child while reflecting Christ’s love in everyday learning.
Our Mission
We believe children learn best through safe, loving environments and meaningful, hands-on experiences. Crossroads exists to support children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development by encouraging curiosity, kindness, independence, and respect for others. As a Christian, nonprofit ministry of Mount Bethel UMC, we are committed to helping children grow while surrounding families with encouragement and care.
Crossroads Preschool
Crossroads Preschool is a half-day program for children ages 2.5 through Pre-K, operating Monday through Thursday from Labor Day to Memorial Day. The preschool is a registered member of the Durham and Orange County Preschool Association (DOPA) and is guided by Mount Bethel’s R.E.A.C.H. vision:
-
R – Reshaping lives and futures to surrender to Jesus
-
E – Embracing the goodness of God
-
A – Acting in faith, not in fear
-
C – Connecting to God by connecting with each other
-
H – Holding fast to the sacraments of God
Children participate in age-appropriate learning, play, and spiritual formation, including a monthly chapel time with the pastor featuring music, prayer, and hands-on lessons. Parents and guardians are always welcome to attend chapel.
Crossroads Preschool is now enrolling students ages 2.5–Pre-K for the 2025–2026 school year.
